My name is Nina. I am a Set Dresser / Assistant Set Dresser, and enjoy working on feature films, drama series and commercials.

I was born in Johannesburg – South Africa, lived in Germany for many years and moved to The Netherlands in 2020. Because of my colourful background I speak four languages. While growing up I was always doing arts and crafts, and photography, losing myself in a world of my own. I suppose I was never not going to move into a creative profession! In July 2024 I graduated from the Dutch Filmers Academy in Amsterdam, where I studied all-round filmmaking.

In the last year I’ve had the plessure to work on amazing film sets with even more amazing people. I’ve worked on productions like Project Herbert, De Freek Tapes, Sleepers S03 and Moedermaffia! S03.

After working on other short and feature films where I took on the role as Set Dresser and Assistant Set Dresser, I have realised that set dressing is where my passion lies.

I love the creativity, the variety, the buzz on set and the unique people who come together as a team to create the desired end result. On set I like to work closely with my colleagues to get the best possible picture and add those changes that create the best effect on screen.

As a person I value connection, honesty, respect and kindness. In moments of stress I show up calm and measured. I communicate gently but clear, love exchanging ideas and appreciate feedback. While being on set, I enjoy working with people who are wholehearted and passionate about the project and share their enthusiasm with others.
